Tonner Doll gives us an update on their Wonder Woman doll

Dear Friends and Collectors! We began development of our version of Wonder Woman 2017 on August 12, 2016. To many of you (and you’ve been very patient) that may seem unbelievable but it’s real. Creating a licensed product of such a notable character in the detailed manner we’ve pursued does take a very… long…. time. So, without great fanfare, I’m able to give you actual shipping information. The product is due to air ship from Hong Kong this week and should begin shipping from our warehouse in Pennsylvania beginning the week of January 29th. Other than stands and the sword and shield accessory packs the product is completely sold out. But we will be showing some new Wonder Woman items at Toyfair in February, so if you missed this version you’ll have plenty of opportunity coming up.

Part of the development delay was due to the engineering and molding of a totally new body we’re using for this Wonder Woman doll. I believe it’s one of my best, if not the best, body sculpt I’ve ever done and hope you feel the same. I really want to say thank you for your patience and support during all of 2017 (and the first twelfth of 2018!) while you’ve waited for this line to happen. It’s done, you’ll have it soon!

Landmark 1,000th Issue Features Jim Lee Cover Revealing New Costume

Brian Michael Bendis Debuts First Story for DC DC Veteran Writer Marv Wolfman to Script Story Based On Unpublished Art by Golden and Silver Age Icon Curt Swan All-Star Lineup of Contributors Includes Richard Donner, Geoff Johns, Peter J. Tomasi, Pat Gleason, Dan Jurgens, Brad Meltzer, Louise Simonson, Jerry Ordway, Tom King, Scott Snyder and More

DC is going all-out to celebrate the one-thousandth issue of ACTION COMICS—the longest continually published comic book of its kind in history, the series that introduced Superman to the world and the title that launched the superhero genre. The Jim Lee-drawn cover features a new costume that integrates a variety of classic and new elements, including the Man of Steel’s trademark red trunks.

“ACTION COMICS #1000 represents a watershed moment in the history of not just comic books, but entertainment, literature and pop culture,” said Lee. “There’s no better way to celebrate Superman’s enduring popularity than to give him a look that combines some new accents with the most iconic feature of his classic design.”

Available at comics retailers and digitally on April 18, ACTION COMICS #1000 features the DC debut of acclaimed writer Brian Michael Bendis in a 10-page Superman story featuring art by DC publisher and celebrated artist Jim Lee. This milestone issue will also include two 15-page stories from two of DC’s current and most popular talent teams: SUPERMAN writer Peter J. Tomasi and artist Pat Gleason, as well as ACTION COMICS writer and artist Dan Jurgens.

“The one-thousandth issue of ACTION COMICS is an incredible milestone in pop culture and a testament to the vision of Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster,” said DC publisher Dan DiDio. “Without this book, along with Siegel and Shuster’s fertile imaginations and boundless creativity, the superhero’s place in literature may have been wildly different, if not altogether nonexistent.”

This must-have collector’s item comic book will also feature previously unpublished art from Curt Swan, whose dynamic, iconic style many consider the definitive look for the Man of Steel throughout comics’ Golden and Silver Ages. Acclaimed DC writer Marv Wolfman will script a story based on this never-before-seen content. In addition, the comic will include a collection of memorable bonus stories from some of the most celebrated names in comics and entertainment.

Contributors to this once-in-a-lifetime issue include legendary Superman movie director Richard Donner and New York Times best-selling writer Geoff Johns, with art by Olivier Coipel. Other contributing creative teams will include Paul Dini with José Luis García-López; Tom King with Clay Mann and Jordie Bellaire; Brad Meltzer with John Cassaday and Laura Martin; Louise Simonson with Jerry Ordway; Scott Snyder with Tim Sale and more to be announced. This celebratory comic book is just the beginning; this milestone will be recognized across the DC superhero line for the month of April with a series of Superman-themed variant covers and even more to come. G.I. Joe Sells Out Another Issue Starring New Snake Eyes

G.I. Joe Sells Out Another Issue
Starring New Snake Eyes
Issue #247 Becomes Fourth Consecutive Issue to Sell Out

San Diego, CA (January 10, 2018) – IDW Publishing is thrilled to announce yet another sell out for the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero comic book series! The long-running series continues to pull in fresh readers eager to see the new Snake Eyes, Dawn Moreno, in action!

G.I. JOE mainstay Larry Hama wrote the issue with art by Netho Diaz, which tells the ongoing saga of Dawn, who stars in this “Dawn of the Arashikage” arc, which began last issue with #246. A truly game-changing storyline, fan demand has resulted in yet another sold out issue at the distributor level, following the sell out of the preceding three issues before it, each one earning collector’s item status.

Dawn Moreno, who debuted in G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero#226, was once a gifted high school athlete whose unique physical abilities drew the attention of Cobra Commander. The Cobra elite put Dawn under intense experimentation, accidentally implanting the memories of the original (and now deceased) Snake Eyes into Dawn’s fragile teenage mind. Now, as a haunted Dawn struggles against visions of a dark past that does not truly belong to her, Snake Eyes’ longtime ninja comrades from the Arashikage Clan have joined together to help Dawn overcome the waking nightmare her young life has become…

“As a fan, I still remember the first time I saw issue #1’s unforgettable cover and thought, ‘That is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen,’” said series Editor, Tom Waltz. “As editor, this short evolutionary journey we’ve taken so far with Dawn Moreno has been awesome, more so because I’m sharing it with fantastic folks like SL Gallant, Netho Diaz, and so many others, including our legions of loyal fans around the world. But most of all, working with living legend Larry Hama has been a true treat.”

Issue #247 is on sale now at your local comic shop while supplies last, as well as digitally. A second printing of issue #246 is also now available to pick up which kicks off this story in the lead up to the oversized milestone issue #250 which concludes the “Dawn of the Arashikage” arc!
