here is no denying that Star Wars is what’s on everyone’s mind at New York Comic Con.  While Episode 7: The Force Awakens does not have a presence at the ReedPop produced event at the Jacob Javits Center, that doesn’t mean that there’s been a disturbance in the force.  Star Wars Rebels held a panel earlier today and we have your first look at not only the New York Comic Con trailer, but also a clip as well!

“I’ve loved these two characters since before they even teamed up,” exclaims series writer David Walker.  “When Power Man and Iron Fist first teamed up back in the late 1970s, their title quickly became one of my favorite books, and it was always something I fantasized about writing. Seeing them back together is like being reunited with your oldest friends. ”

The passion for this heroic duo has withstood the test of time through the all of Marvel fandom and Marvel is confident in enlisting a creative time that is primed to take Luke Cage and Danny Rand on exciting new adventures. “David and Sanford are both extremely well versed in the background of these characters, the world they’re from, but they’re also bringing their own style to this,” explains series editor Jake Thomas to FastCompany. “Expect some solid, old school Marvel characters—both enemies and allies like, say, Tombstone and Black Mariah—to show up.”

NYCC 2015: MŒBIUS LIBRARY ARRIVES AT DARK HORSE

JEAN GIRAUD’S GROUNDBREAKING WORK TO BE COLLECTED IN NEW HARDCOVER VOLUMES

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MILWAUKIE, OR—Dark Horse is proud to announce that the library of Mœbius, one of the most influential and respected artists in the history of comics and cartooning, will arrive on store shelves in a gorgeous series of hardcover volumes available for the first time in nearly 20 years.

With a vast array of work showcasing his mastery of realist drawing, Jean Giraud—better known as Mœbius—is one of the most influential bandes dessinées cartoonists in history, with work that helped to define the landscape of science fiction and fantasy comics. Z2 Comics offers limited edition WELCOME TO SHOWSIDE #1 variant cover by artist Rian Sygh exclusively at New York Comic Con

Sygh and WELCOME TO SHOWSIDE creator Ian McGinty will both be on hand at NYCC, which kicks off Thursday, October 8th, to sign the exclusive, extremely limited edition issues.

Cassie Hack Slashes Her Way to NYCC 2015 as an Exclusive Statue!

Cassie Hack has faced a lot of terrifying monsters, and now she’s facing the biggest monster of all – New York Comic-Con! The slasher-hunting hottie of Tim Seeley’s hit horror comic book series Hack/Slash is now a 9-inch Femme Fatales vinyl statue from Diamond Select Toys, and NYCC 2015 will see the debut of a new exclusive variant, only available at the Action Figure Xpress booth!

Measuring approximately 9 inches tall, Cassie Hack strides along an axe head, holding her friend Vlad’s mask in one hand, and a spiked baseball bat in the other. This AFX-exclusive variant features a new red color scheme, instead of her regular blue and grey, including red striped gloves, a red plaid skirt, and red argyle socks. Packaged in an individually numbered window box, this red Cassie will be limited to only 1,000 pieces, and it will go on sale for the first time ever at booth 437 at New York Comic-Con.

Clerks Select 20th Anniversary Action Figures In Stores Now!

For 20 years, director Kevin Smith has been entertaining us with his tales from the View Askewniverse, populated by the dysfunctional residents of Leonardo, New Jersey. Now, at your local comic shop, Diamond Select Toys has released four Select-scale action figures based on the film that started it all, Clerks!

 

Each 7-inch scale, fully poseable action figure is captured in the film’s famous black-and-white palette, and includes film-accurate accessories as well as a diorama base. Quick Stop employee Dante Hicks and perpetual loiterer Jay each come with half of the Quick Stop, while RST Video employee Randal Graves and spectator Silent Bob each come with half of RST Video! The cardboard backdrops fit into the sidewalk bases, and can be reversed to show the interior of each store! Collect all four to build the shopping center!
