MARVEL COMICS PRESENTS SPIDER-WOMEN #1!
Spider-Gwen, Spider-Woman, and Silk team-up for an all-new crossover event

                                                                                                              

New York, NY — October 14th, 2015 — After the events of SPIDER-VERSE, Jessica Drew, Cindy Moon and Gwen Stacy have been developing a unique kind of friendship from across the multiverse. But when things go awry in Gwen’s universe, Silk and Spider-Woman of the Marvel Universe find themselves stranded in Gwen’s reality while their dangerous doppelgangers run rampant in THEIR New York!

 

Helmed by the three series writers — Jason Latour (Spider-Gwen), Robbie Thompson (Silk), and Dennis Hopeless (Spider-Woman) – the arachnid ladies of the Spider-Verse are about to embark on a crossover event that will delve into a brand new adventure that will take Spider-Gwen, Spider-Woman and Silk down a path that will forever change who they are and how they think of their corners of the Spider-Verse.

 

“There’s going to be adventure, intrigue, fisticuffs, and some big twists, but I’m most excited about the personal story for each of these characters as they go through this dimension-hopping event,” explains Silkwriter Robbie Thompson with Newsarama. “They’re all going to be tested and changed by this crossover.”

Being part of the “Spider-mythos” has never been easy going for any hero of the Marvel Universe and these ladies are about to enter an interdimensional crucible that will challenge them, not only as individual heroes, but as a team and how they can work together as a cohesive kick-ass  unit. “I think what’s intriguing about the three of them is that they’re really just getting to know one another,” says Jason Latour. “But as far as the initial dynamic—Jessica is definitely the big sister who’s a little frustrated by how much these girls don’t know about being superheroes.”

Next year, bear witness to the first crossover of its kind and get answers to questions you didn’t even know you had as Spider-Gwen, Spider-Woman, and Silk jump dimensions and show what it takes to be called SPIDER-WOMEN in the first action-packed chapter SPIDER-WOMEN #1!

Television’s Sunday programming block at New York Comic Con 2015 kicked off with a bang, with fans in attendance treated to a couple of high-octane highlight reels featuring edge-of-your-seat footage from the new seasons of The CW’s hit Super Hero series Arrow and The Flash. here is no denying that Star Wars is what’s on everyone’s mind at New York Comic Con.  While Episode 7: The Force Awakens does not have a presence at the ReedPop produced event at the Jacob Javits Center, that doesn’t mean that there’s been a disturbance in the force.  Star Wars Rebels held a panel earlier today and we have your first look at not only the New York Comic Con trailer, but also a clip as well!

Luke Cage and Danny Rand, once a dauntless duo of street-fighting justice, have drifted apart. But when an old friend comes to them in trouble, the boys are back! Can the former besties best brutal bad guys, dangerous weapons, and sinister plots all while rekindling Marvel’s mightiest bromance?

“I’ve loved these two characters since before they even teamed up,” exclaims series writer David Walker.  “When Power Man and Iron Fist first teamed up back in the late 1970s, their title quickly became one of my favorite books, and it was always something I fantasized about writing. The passion for this heroic duo has withstood the test of time through the all of Marvel fandom and Marvel is confident in enlisting a creative time that is primed to take Luke Cage and Danny Rand on exciting new adventures. “David and Sanford are both extremely well versed in the background of these characters, the world they’re from, but they’re also bringing their own style to this,” explains series editor Jake Thomas to FastCompany. “Expect some solid, old school Marvel characters—both enemies and allies like, say, Tombstone and Black Mariah—to show up.”

NYCC 2015: MŒBIUS LIBRARY ARRIVES AT DARK HORSE

JEAN GIRAUD’S GROUNDBREAKING WORK TO BE COLLECTED IN NEW HARDCOVER VOLUMES

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MILWAUKIE, OR—Dark Horse is proud to announce that the library of Mœbius, one of the most influential and respected artists in the history of comics and cartooning, will arrive on store shelves in a gorgeous series of hardcover volumes available for the first time in nearly 20 years.

Z2 Comics offers limited edition WELCOME TO SHOWSIDE #1 variant cover by artist Rian Sygh exclusively at New York Comic Con

– Z2 Comics is excited to announce a limited edition WELCOME TO SHOWSIDE issue #1 variant cover by Rian Sygh (STOLEN FOREST) – available only at New York Comic Con (NYCC). Sygh and WELCOME TO SHOWSIDE creator Ian McGinty will both be on hand at NYCC, which kicks off Thursday, October 8th, to sign the exclusive, extremely limited edition issues.

WELCOME TO SHOWSIDE, due in stores October 28th from Z2 Comics, is artist Ian McGinty’s creator-owned debut. WELCOME TO SHOWSIDE, an all-ages title, takes readers on the adventures of Kit, a lovable kid with a monstrous secret: his dad is the Great Shadow King and he wants Kit to take over the family business of destroying the world.
