What the Shell Episode #2 – Townsend Coleman Interview

Hey shellheads, its time for another round of terrific turtle talk! This podcast is almost 3 hours long so order your pizza now!

Dylan, Chris and Mike are joined again by Suine Hallock who you may know is a huge TMNT fan with his fantastic series Radical Retro Turtle Toy Talk (www.radicalretro.com) as he helps the guys talk about the classic TMNT cartoon and try to remember the names of the episodes that they really liked!

After the break and Suine’s top 10 non turtle TMNT figures of all time (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYEP1Iu175s) audio in the commercial break, the guys are joined by Townsend Coleman who was the voice of the original Michelangelo in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  The guys quiz him about if the TMNT fans weird him out, if Michelangelo would be the voice he will be remembered for and his thoughts on the other incarnations of the turtles.

To round off this marathon show, the guys have found the leaked bios about the characters in the upcoming Nickelodeon cartoon.  They each choose two and then discuss what they like and possibly dont about the bios. These were found on the PopCultureNetwork.com Forums.

Twitter time!  You can follow all the guys and this podcast on twitter – Chris (Vinto316), Dylan (Happymonkeyshoe), Mike (Mlacey91) and Suine (suine_hallock).  The podcast can be followed at TMNTShell and we have a Facebook page which we update regularly and the address is http://www.facebook.com/TMNTClassics

Classic: Operation Retroshock – Episode 5

Hello and Welcome to the latest addition of Operation Retroshock, its time for another episode and the guys have pulled another classic line up of games out the bag!

The First subject for this show is a quirky and interesting game that is a fond favourite of Chris’ the game is Animal Crossing for the Gamecube, DS and Wii. Allan tags along in this one as he doesn’t know as much when it comes to Animal Crossing but Chris gives one hell of a great run down of life in his own village.

Our next stop picks up the pace as we get stuck into talking about Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast! The guys talk about their memories of Sonic and have a laugh at the fact that Allan didn’t actually have a Dreamcast and discuss how he actually played the game back in the day. Not only that but they give a run down of Sega’s success in recent years and ask the question could we see a Sega revival in years to come? You’ll have to listen to find out!

The Third stop of the show takes the guys down a Warp Pipe to Super Mario Bros. 3 for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Chris and Allan have a great chat about what they loved about the game and the new features it brought into the Mario series. The guys also have a bit of a rant about the current state of Nintendo and why they are losing their focus; does Wii Fit ring a bell? Allan also gets a bit annoyed at Chris twice in this segment, goodness knows what about as they always seem to give off to one another!

Finally on the show Allan gets as close to his dream of hosting an episode of Top Gear as he more than likely ever will! Allan and Chris look at Gran Turismo on the Playstation 1! Well when we say Allan and Chris we mean Allan, Chris nods in agreement as you will probably guess when you listen, Chris isn’t a Petrol head or Gear head for our American listeners.

Operation Retroshock – Episode 45 (Wrestlemania Special)

It’s Wrestlemania Season once again!

Last year you were taken on fantastic trip through everyone’s favourite Wrestlemania memories, courtesy of ourselves and the guys over at The Total Wrestling Show. This year things are a wee bit different. Instead of 5 people on the show you have 1, yes this is another solo episode folks and your host is our very own Allan. Not to worry though, there is plenty to be discussed and….well Allan is known for rambling!

First on the agenda is the WWE Hall of Fame, your host has a look at who the WWE has awarded its greatest honour to this year. With the likes of Edge, Ron Simmons and The Four Horsemen on the list it’s sure to be a winner.

Allan then takes you through this year’s Wrestlemania matches, going from the match he is least interested in, right up to the one he is most excited by and of course along the way he will make predictions for this year’s show! We will also have Chris’ picks on hand. So which host will come out with the big ‘W’ this year? In our First ever ‘Mania Special it was a tie, last year Allan was victorious…So could this be Chris’ year? You will have to listen and then watch Wrestlemania to find out!

So sit back, grab your Lite-Brite Jacket, your Shades or even a can of Pepsi…..turn that son bi….. sideways and enjoy the fun that is Wrestlemania!
