Leaked Super Smash Bros

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U, due to release later this year. The comic fighting game’s creators have been teasing us for what feels like decades now by slowlyrevealing which characters will be available to play as, talking of trimming the fat while simultaneously revealing what appears to be every Nintendo character under the sun.

If the following “leaked” screenshots and video are to be believed, however, Nintendo’s character roster-teasing days are about to come to an abrupt end.

Update: Despite Nintendo’s efforts to remove pretty much every leaked video, it would appear that the screenshots and videos seen so far are in fact the real deal, taken from the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. The following video shows a number of the rumoured characters in action. It looks like this is not a hoax, boys and girls!

For its latest bit of Gundam marketing, merchandiser extraordinaire Bandai has teamed up with Noritake, a Japanese manufacturer of fine china. The companies are offering two different types of anime ceramics, with the more practical being these teacups inspired by villainousGundam siblings Gihren and Garma Zabi.

Both items can be preordered through the Premium Bandai website (here and here), with shipping scheduled for December. As a respected porcelain maker, though, Noritake’s wares don’t come cheap. A single Zabi cup and saucer will set you back 7,776 yen (US$77), while M’qube’s prized vase costs 41,040 yen.

German airlines artwork like where’s Waldo

German airline Lufthansa has put together a campaign that features images of 14 different destinations they fly to, drawn by artists of each respective country. The title of the campaign is ‘Passengers on tour’ and each image is a ‘hidden object cartoon’ featuring stylized representations of the country’s culture, famous landmarks, animals, and so on.

In the midst of all the business in each image, an airline passenger is hidden, holding a suitcase with the Lufthansa logo and the idea is for you to find them. It’s basically like looking for Wally in the Where’s Wally? series (or Waldo for all you Americans out there). Remember spending hours poring over a particularly packed picture then finally giving up in frustration, only to have his stripey jumper practically jump off the page at you when you come back to it later? Good times.

To start you off, here we have Japan represented in one bright and busy image exploding with movement and bold colors. The picture is crammed with things that represent Japanese culture, from anime characters to folk craft objects like daruma and maneki-neko. How many references do you recognise? And where is that pesky passenger?
